Terms of Use
1. Who We Are and What These Terms Cover
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the website, booking tools, and mobile automotive services of Bluffton Mobile Auto Care LLC, doing business as Bluffton Mobile Auto Care ("Company," "we," "us," "our"), a South Carolina limited liability company. By accessing our website or services, booking an appointment, texting or calling us, or allowing us to perform service on your vehicle, we assume you accept these Terms in full. Do not continue to use Bluffton Mobile Auto Care's services if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated here.

2. Services
We provide mobile vehicle maintenance, primarily oil and filter changes, performed at your home, workplace, or another location you choose within our service area in and around Bluffton, Okatie, Hilton Head Island, and surrounding Beaufort County, South Carolina. We may expand, change, or discontinue services at any time. Service availability depends on location, weather, parts supply, and scheduling.
3. Booking and Scheduling
Eligibility. You must be at least 18 and be the owner of the vehicle or have the owner's authority to request service.
Accurate information. You agree to give us accurate vehicle details (year, make, model, engine, and any known issues) and your service location. Wrong information can result in the wrong oil or filter being ordered, and you may be charged for parts that were ordered based on your information.
Appointment windows. Arrival times are estimates. Traffic, weather, and the length of earlier jobs can cause delays. We will tell you promptly if we are running late.
Access. You or an authorized adult must be reachable at the time of service. If we cannot access the vehicle or reach you within [15] minutes of arrival, we may treat the appointment as a no-show.
4. Service Location Requirements
To perform work safely, you agree that the service location will:
Be a level, stable, paved or hard surface (driveway, parking lot, or similar) with safe room to work around the vehicle;
Be on property you own, or where you have permission for us to perform automotive service (we are not responsible for violations of HOA rules, lease terms, or property restrictions; checking these is your responsibility);
Be free of hazards, including aggressive or unrestrained animals, unsafe structures, and hostile persons.
We may decline, pause, or stop service at any time if we judge conditions unsafe, and may charge a trip fee in that case.
5. Pricing, Estimates, and Payment
Quotes. We provide a price quote at booking. Labor is charged separately from oil, filters, and other parts unless your quote states otherwise.
Changes. The final price may differ from the quote if your vehicle requires a different oil type or capacity, a non-standard filter, or additional parts than you originally described. We will tell you and get your approval before performing work that increases the quoted price.
Taxes. We collect South Carolina sales tax and any applicable local taxes on parts and other taxable items as required by law.
Payment. Payment is due at completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept card payments, venmo, paypal. Card payments are processed by a third-party payment processor (see Privacy Policy).
Failed or late payments. You are responsible for any fees we incur from returned or reversed payments, and for reasonable collection costs and attorney's fees to the extent permitted by law.
6. Cancellations and No-Shows
You may cancel or reschedule at no charge up to [24] hours before your appointment.
Cancellations inside that window may result in a $25 charge.
If we cancel because of weather, safety, illness, or equipment problems, we will reschedule at no charge.
Special-order parts that were purchased for you and cannot be returned may be billed.
7. Vehicle Condition and Authorized Work
We perform only the services you request and approve. A routine oil change is not a vehicle inspection, and we do not guarantee that your vehicle is free from other mechanical problems.
We may point out visible concerns (for example, leaks, worn belts, or low fluids) as a courtesy. Any such observation is informational, is not a diagnosis, and does not obligate us to perform further inspection or repair.
Pre-existing damage, wear, or defects (including stripped drain plugs, seized or over-torqued filters, cracked oil pans, leaking gaskets, or sludge buildup) can be discovered or worsened during a normal oil change. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or for failures of parts that were already worn, damaged, or previously improperly installed. If we find such a condition, we will stop and discuss options with you.
You confirm that you are not aware of any condition that would make service unsafe, and that you have disclosed any known issues (such as active leaks, warning lights, or prior drain-plug problems).
Vehicle damage. We assume no liability for any damage to your vehicle that is not directly caused by our service actions. Please walk around your vehicle with the technician before and after service, and report any concern right then (see Section 9).
8. Fluids, Parts, and Environmental Handling
We use oil and filters that meet or exceed your vehicle manufacturer's published specification, unless you request a specific product.
Used oil, filters, and other waste are collected and disposed of or recycled in accordance with applicable South Carolina and federal law. Please do not ask us to leave used fluids at your property or to dispose of materials we did not service.
We take reasonable care to avoid spills, but small spills can occur. We will clean up fluids we spill, and you agree to allow us a reasonable opportunity to do so.
9. 24-Hour Claims Window and Workmanship Guarantee
24-hour reporting requirement. Any claim for vehicle damage, leaks, or other problems that you believe relate to our service must be reported to the technician at the time of service, or to us within twenty-four (24) hours after the service is completed. Report by phone or text at [PHONE], or by email at [EMAIL]. Please include your name, vehicle, service date, a description of the problem, and photos if possible (for example, oil on the driveway or under the vehicle).
Check your vehicle. We recommend checking your oil level and looking for drips or leaks under the vehicle after service, and again within 24 hours.
Why the window is short. Reporting promptly lets us inspect while conditions are fresh and tell the difference between a problem caused by our work and normal wear, later driving, other repairs, or unrelated events.
Late claims. Claims reported after the 24-hour window are not covered by this guarantee, and we have no obligation to inspect or correct them. We may choose, at our sole discretion, to look at a late issue as a courtesy. Doing so does not waive this requirement for any future claim.
Our remedy. If a timely reported problem is caused by our workmanship (for example, a leak from the drain plug or filter we installed), we will re-inspect and correct it at no charge as soon as reasonably possible. This is your sole remedy for workmanship problems, and our responsibility is limited to performing the service with reasonable skill and care.
Stop driving if something seems wrong. If you notice a leak, low oil level, warning light, or unusual noise after service, stop driving the vehicle when it is safe and contact us right away. We are not responsible for additional damage that results from continuing to drive after a problem is apparent.
Parts. Parts and fluids carry the manufacturer's warranty, if any. We make no additional warranty on them.
Exclusions. This guarantee does not cover problems caused by pre-existing conditions, misuse, accidents, modifications, neglect, or work done by anyone else.
THE FOREGOING IS OUR ONLY WARRANTY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Using non-standard oil, extended oil-change intervals, or disregarding your manufacturer's maintenance schedule is your responsibility. If your vehicle is under a manufacturer or dealer warranty, check that warranty's maintenance requirements and keep your service records.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We assume no liability for damage to the vehicle that is not directly caused by our service actions, or for pre-existing conditions of the vehicle that may affect the service outcome. Our responsibility is limited to providing the service with reasonable skill and care.
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of use of your vehicle, towing, rental cars, lost wages, or lost profits.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for our gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
We carry [general liability / garage liability insurance] with limits of $[AMOUNT]. [OPTIONAL: Certificates are available on request.]
11. Your Responsibilities and Indemnification
You agree to use our services lawfully. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bluffton Mobile Auto Care LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, agents, and service providers from any and all third-party claims, liability, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, your lack of authority to authorize work on the vehicle, your misrepresentation of ownership or vehicle condition, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity.
12. Website and Communications
Website use. You may use our website for personal, lawful purposes. You may not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, scrape it, or use it to send spam or harmful code.

13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
Contact us first. If you have a problem, please contact us at 814-215-6991 or email at Blufftonmac@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it informally. We take complaints seriously.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Venue. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Beaufort County, South Carolina, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction. Claims within the jurisdictional limit of the magistrate's court may be brought there.
14. Changes, Severability, and Entire Agreement
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version with a new "Last Updated" date. Changes apply to services booked after the update. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, any written quote or invoice, and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about our services. If there is a conflict, a signed written quote or invoice controls for that job.
